[KS] Visiting Professor position at Changwon National University

The Department of International Relations at the Changwon National
University invites candidates to apply for a full-time Visiting Professor
position. This is a one-year non-tenure-track position with no ranks. The
contract can be renewed at the end of each year repeatedly. The successful
applicant will start teaching on September 2, 2019.

The regular teaching load for this position will be between 3 and 4 courses
(9 and 12 credit hours) per semester. The primary responsibility of the
Visiting Professor is to teach a series of four English-language classes –
Topics in International Relations 1, 2, 3, and 4 – for first- and
second-year undergraduate students at the Department of International
Relations.

Annual salary will start at 29,400,000 Korean won (before deductions; rent
assistance included). If the Visiting Professor teaches 4 courses, s/he
will receive about 1,350,000 won as extra pay per semester.

To be qualified, the candidates must:

- be a non-Korean citizen;

- be fluent in English;

- have ability to teach and guide discussions on issues of the contemporary
world;

- and hold a Ph.D. degree in political science or a related discipline in
humanities and social sciences, or hold an M.A. degree in political science
or a related discipline and have at least 2-4 years of related work
experiences, e.g. as a lecturer, a diplomat, or a teacher. Ph.D. candidates
who finished 3-4 years of education, with a separate M.A. degree, will be
considered.
