저는 한국학중앙연구원 한국학대학원에서 외국인 학생 입학을 담당하고 있는 이나연입니다. 저희 대학원 석박사 학위과정 외국인 신입생 모집과 관련해 안내드립니다.This is Nayeon Lee, International Student Advisor at the Graduate School of Korean Studies, the Academy of Korean Studies. I'm writing to inform you of the graduate recruitment for 2020 spring semester.
학사 학위를 소지하고 TOPIK 4급 이상의 한국어 실력이 있는, 무엇보다 한국학에 대해 진지한 관심과 열정을 가진 외국인 학생이면 지원 가능합니다. 저희 대학원의 외국인 학생에 대한 혜택은 다음과 같습니다:International students are very welcome to apply if they have a bachelor's degree, Korean language proficiency equivalent to or higher than TOPIK level 4, and most importantly genuine interest in Korean studies. These are some examples of what our international students enjoy:외국인 학생 전원 등록금 면제Tuition fees are fully waived for all international students.입학 성적 우수자에게 국비장학금 지급 - 1년간 석사 월50만원, 박사 월75만원 (평가 후 연장 가능), 수혜율 65.2%65.2% of international students benefit from the Government Grant. Monthly stipend of 500,000KRW (for master’s degree students) or 750,000KRW (for doctoral degree students) is provided for a year, renewable upon evaluation.
교수 1명당 학생 5명의 비율로 소수 정예 교육 실시A 5:1 student-faculty ratio enables close one-on-one guidance of students by professors.폭넓은 본원 연구과제 참여 기회 - 외국인 박사과정 학생 20% 참여Students are encouraged to participate in the AKS' research projects and 20% of our international students in a doctoral degree program worked as RAs in 2019.학문 목적의 한국어 교육 무료 제공Korean language courses specifically designed for academic purposes are provided free of charge.저렴한 기숙사비 : 학기당(6개월간) 2인실 543,000원On-campus dormitory accommodations are available at the rate of 543,000KRW per semester(six months), double occupancy.

한국어 실력이 아직 TOPIK 4급에 미치지 않는다면 한국어 실력에 관계없이 지원할 수 있는 국립국제교육원의 정부초청외국인장학생 프로그램(www.studyinkorea.go.kr)을 확인하시어 내년 2월에 지원하는 방법도 있답니다. 본 프로그램은 학위과정 시작 전 최대 1년간 한국어 연수를 받도록 한답니다.Applicants whose Korean language proficiency hasn't yet reached TOPIK level 4 may consider applying for the Graduate School of Korean Studies through GKS(Global Korea Scholarship) program of NIIED(National Institute for International Education) next February. Applicants can apply for GKS program regardless of their Korean langauge proficiency, and GKS offers maximum one-year of Korean language program before students begin their degree program.
