[KS] Workshop on p'ansori at SOAS, University of London

The Korea Pansori Preservation Association (KPPA) is running a
*p'ansori* workshop
at SOAS, University of London on 5 October from 2-5pm, in collaboration
with the SOAS Music Department.

This will be an unparalleled opportunity to learn about this traditional
sung storytelling genre that was honoured as a UNESCO Masterpiece of the
Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, directly from the group which
counts amongst its members some of the most illustrious artists active in
Korea today.

The KPPA will also be performing at King’s Place in London on 6 October as
part of the London K-Music Festival hosted by the Korean Cultural Centre UK.

For a genre that is still only rarely performed in the UK, this is an
unparalleled opportunity to learn more about one of Korea’s most
representative traditional art forms.
