Level C (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Korean Studies program seeks to fill a continuing Lecturer or Senior
Lecturer position (known as ‘Korea Foundation Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in
Korean Studies’). Funded by the Korean Foundation, this role is expected to
coordinate and teach in the expanding undergraduate Korean language program
at Monash University and also develop content courses in Korean Studies.
You will undertake research supervision of graduate students; engage in
original and innovative research; be prepared to collaborate in research,
team teaching and curriculum development. You will also be expected to
undertake a share of administrative tasks within the program and/or school.

As the successful candidate, you will have a dynamic research and teaching
profile with a strong track record in a Korea-related field of research and
experience in teaching Korean language, linguistics, and/or translation and
pedagogy. To be successful for this position, you will need to
show evidence of your strong interest in interdisciplinary research and
have native or near-native proficiency in English and Korean. You must also
have previous experience in teaching Korean studies and Korean language at
a tertiary level.
