Please see this CFP.  We always need more Korean studies panels!

CALL FOR PAPERS

SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE
ON ASIAN STUDIES
OCTOBER 23-24, 2020
TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY (SAN MARCOS, TX)
Panel Proposals should include:
(1) Panel summary (250 words) with description of papers & connection between papers
(2) Paper titles, participants, affiliations, contact information, including email addresses
Individual Paper Proposals should include:
(1) Paper title and summary (150 words)
(2) Presenter’s name, affiliation, and contact information, including email address
SWCAS welcomes proposals by scholars and graduate students from any Asian-studies
discipline, including inter-area, border-crossing and multidisciplinary panels. Please send
proposals to Patricia Schiaffini-Vedani, p_s139 at txstate.edu by June 30, 2020
o Pre-registration of $60 for faculty ($75 after Sept. 15), and of $20 for students ($30 after Sept. 15) includes lunch
and dinner on Friday, lunch on Saturday, as well as performances of Balinese Gamelan music, and traditional
Chinese dance.
o Travel stipends up to $100 will be available for graduate students presenting papers at the conference.
o Conference and hotel registration available at SWCAS website: http://www.swcas.net.
o The SWCAS’s Board of Directors welcomes volunteers for the positions of Secretary-Treasurer and Webmaster.
