*University of Tübingen Predoctoral Academic Position *

*in Korean Studies*



*(m/f/d; Salary according to German E 13 TV-L , 65%)*





*The appointment will start on October 1, 2021*, and the position will be
for *three years*.



The successful candidate must hold a M.A. degree in Korean Studies or
related disciplines and more than three years should not have passed since
the attainment of the M.A. degree.

In particular, the Department of Korean Studies is looking for a candidate
whose work focuses on social justice issues in Korea. Specific research
interest in either urban, labor, social movement, and/ or gender is also
preferred. Also, the candidate must be fluent in English and Korean.

The successful candidate is expected to:

1)     Participate in the academic life of University of Tübingen Korean
Studies Department—including participating in seminars and workshops

2)     Teach one course per semester (2 hours per week)

3)     Contribute to administrative work, including assistance in the
research of Junior Prof. Yewon Lee.

4)     Finish the dissertation manuscript
