I worked myself a bit on funerary rites, especially on how they changed
during the colonial period.
Concerning your questions, I am afraid I can only give one advice
concerning 2); early historical footage of a Korean funeral and
accompanying death rites you can find in the videos taken by the
benedectinian monks around abbot Norbert Weber.
The DVD was released in Korea as 고요한 아침의 나라에서; it is now available
on youtube too as it seems
