George Washington University's East Asian Languages and Literatures is
seeking a part-time Korean language instructor. Below is the job posting.

*Part-time, non-tenure track Korean Language Adjunct Instructor*



The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at The George
Washington University invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure
track Korean Language Adjunct Instructor position with an appointment
beginning on August 29, 2022, pending administrative approval.

Duties include teaching Korean in all levels (beginning, intermediate, and
advanced), teaching 3 courses in one academic year, and closely
collaborating with faculty

This is a one-year, tenure-ineligible appointment with the possibility of
renewal, contingent upon available funding, satisfactory performance, and
need for the position.



Qualifications:

·      Master’s degree in teaching Korean as a foreign language,
linguistics, language pedagogy, and second language acquisition, or related
field

·      Native/near-native proficiency in Korean and English

·      At least one-year experience in teaching Korean as a foreign
language at a university level.

·      Knowledge of current technologies in language teaching methodologies

·      Legal working permit in the United States



Application must include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a short 15-20
mins video of teaching a lesson, and a brief statement on teaching
philosophy. Once selected as a finalist, we will ask for 2 letters of
recommendation. Review of the applications will begin immediately, and will
continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
