Dear all,

A new book on history of Korean art has been published in Russian.

The original title of the book is "Главное в истории искусства Кореи".
The English title is "The Short History of Korean Art".

This book covers the history of Korean art from the Neolithic to the
present day. The reader will learn about the main eras, artists, themes and
techniques, as well as get acquainted with 65 outstanding works: paintings,
sculptures, architectural monuments, calligraphic masterpieces, scrolls,
ceramics, installations, performances. This will give a complete picture of
Korean art.

Elena Khokhlova, Associate Professor at the School of Asian Studies (HSE
University), explored works from different eras, from the first works of
the Neolithic to examples of ultra-modern art. Each work is described in
the context of the artist's characteristics, environment, historical and
social events, the materials used and the topics covered. Readers will
learn about the achievements and lives of Korean artists and see the world
through their eyes.
