*Trans-Asian Mnemoscapes: Rethinking the Politics of Memory in Asia and
Beyond*
Sogang University, Seoul, Korea, June 20-23, 2023
The Critical Global Studies Institute (CGSI) invites you to an
international conference, “Trans-Asian Mnemoscapes: Rethinking the Politics
of Memory in Asia and Beyond,” to be held at Sogang University on June
20-23, 2023.
There will be nine panels featuring 40 international scholars from Japan,
Taiwan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Australia,
and others, as well as a keynote roundtable with four leading scholars in
trans-Asian history and memory. Bringing together a range of
multi-disciplinary perspectives, this conference will explore the politics
and culture of memory in Asia and elsewhere beyond national boundaries and
illuminate the multi-faceted and multi-layered dimensions of the
trans-Asian mnemoscape. You can find more detailed information in the
