[KS] Invitation: online-workshop on North Korea

Dear Colleagues,


We are pleased to extend our invitation to participate in our online event focused on the current inter-Korean exchange projects, developmental cooperation, and the integration of North Korean defectors in South Korea.


Aim: This convention aims to foster in-depth discussions and insights into key areas, including inter-Korean exchange initiatives, development collaborations, and the socio-economic integration of North Korean defectors in South Korea. We welcome multifaceted research contributions from both young or established scholars scholars and practitioners. There's also potential for collaborative research endeavors and joint publications.

  *   Venue: Online via Zoom
  *   Time (Respective Time Zones):
     *   Bratislava (GMT +02:00): 09:00 AM - 12:00 PM
     *   Seoul (GMT +09:00): 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Deadlines:

  *   Abstract Submission: December 31st, 2023 (approx. 300-500 words) to marianne.franziska.jung at uniba.sk<mailto:marianne.franziska.jung at uniba.sk> or whjung727 at gmail.com<mailto:whjung727 at gmail.com>
  *   Notification of Acceptance: Mid-January 2024
  *   Full Paper Submission: February 8th, 2024 (approx. 2000-3000 words)

Presenters: Approximately 6 selected via a blind review process.

Opening Speech: Prof. Song, Young Hoon (KNU)

Moderators: Marianne Jung, PhD (Comenius University) and Jung Wonhee, PhD (KNU)

The event will also delve into the current socio-economic development landscape in North Korea, offering a holistic view of the region's progress.
