About the Speaker: Ph.D. Eun-jin Choi graduated from the department of
history at Hanyang University and received her master's and doctoral
degrees from the same graduate school. Currently, she is an research fellow
of the National Institute of Korean History, and an adjunct professor in
the department of history at Hanyang University.
The doctoral dissertation "The Legislation and Enforcement of the 'Farmland
Law in Chosun' in the 1930s" (February 2020) mainly studies the legislation
process of the 'Farmland Law in Chosun' and the actual state of tenant
farming and tenancy disputes after the enforcement of it in the 1930s. The
purpose was to evaluate characteristics of the 'Farmland Law in Chosun' as
a tenancy law of the Japanese Government-General of Korea and its
enforcement effect.

District Court Prosecutors' Office Documents and Colonial Society (2022,
co-author), Society Encouraging Investment (2023, co-author), etc.
Translated Books: The Japanese Government-General of Korea 30 Years

co-translator), Theory of Japan’s Rule of Colonial Chosun (2023), etc.
In the future, she plans to further expand her research into the fields of
colonial policy history, social and economic history, legal history,
Korea-Japan related history, transnational history, social movement
history, independence movement history, and local history in modern Korean
history.
