Dear colleagues,
I'm delighted to share with you that my book is available from UC Press. Titled Celluloid Democracy: Cinema and Politics in Cold War South Korea, the book offers the story of South Korean film activism that challenged the limits of the social fabric and of the cinematic medium in an authoritarian society. The book is available as an open access text that might be useful for assigning individual chapters in your courses. A paperback version is also available for purchase.
