Hello, colleagues! Here are CLS we are in the midst of our selection cycle for the 2024 summer program. Currently we are looking for one more Korean language instructor or area expert to serve on the second-round selection panel for our Korean overseas institutes.

The panelist would be asked to read and score the applications of 30 - 50 semifinalists during the month of January (starting on or around January 8) and participate in a virtual selection panel for one day on (1) Wednesday, February 7, Monday, February 12 or (2) Wednesday, February 14, or February 16.

Although this is a volunteer position, this is a unique opportunity for involvement with the CLS selection process. I trust the experience would provide further insight into the CLS selection process and be beneficial to instructors when coaching their own student to apply in future years.

Would you be willing to share this opportunity with the Korean Studies network? Anyone interested is welcome to email me directly with any questions or to express their interest. Thank you for your time and for your support of the CLS program!

Please note, we are also looking for Summer Resident Directors for Korean for the 2024 CLS Program (paid position). This is not a teaching position, however. More information about that role can be found here: https://www.paycomonline.net/v4/ats/web.php/jobs/ViewJobDetails?job=85903&clientkey=58AA089E0E2C786B7FE4217373F3BCBD.

감사합니다! 새해 복 많이 받으세요!

Sincerely,
Sydney Sparrow
