[KS] {Disarmed} 9th RIKS Academy

Korea University's Research Institute of Korean Studies (RIKS) worked in collaboration with the support of the Pony Chung Foundation to create an international platform, the RIKS Academy, in 2016. Since its founding in 1957, RIKS, a leader in Korean studies, has fulfilled its long-term mission of fostering interactions among young researchers and broadening the research of Korean studies. This year, the ninth RIKS Academy will bring together scholars of philosophy, history, culture, and literature for intensive courses designed to explore Korean studies in its broader regional context. The following three events aim to deepen participants' expertise and broaden networking connections between young Korean studies scholars: (1) Korean studies focus lectures led by leading scholars in the field, (2) Participants' presentations and discussions of their research topics and (3) Field trip. This year’s main theme of focus lecture is 'Changing Korean Wave and K-Culture'. The RIKS encourages all participants' research and cooperation, and we look forward to working with you.
Award Information:- Amount awarded: KRW 1,000,000 per participant- Travel grant for overseas participants (the Americas/Europe up to KRW 1,000,000 / Asia up to KRW 500,000)
