We are pleased to invite you to the *2025 SNU International Conference for
Contemporary Korean Studies*, taking place on *August 22-23, 2025*, at
Seoul National University's Asia Center (Building 101).

*Conference Theme:* *Korea as Symptom: Perspectives on the Future*

Now in its second year, this conference examines diverse phenomena in
Korean society—from democratic challenges to cultural innovations—within
broader historical and global contexts, seeking new perspectives on Korea's
future. Covering diverse fields including culture, literature, religion,
history, politics, economics, and society, the conference aims to serve as
a platform for analyzing contemporary Korea and fostering research networks
among domestic and international scholars. Please refer to the attached
program for detailed information.

*Event Details:*

   - *Dates:* August 22 (Fri), 9:30-18:50 | August 23 (Sat), 10:00-18:10
   - *Venue:* Seoul National University Asia Center (Building 101), 2nd
   Floor
   - *Format:* In-person with live streaming for Track 1 sessions
   - *Registration:* Free (on-site registration required)


   - Track 1 sessions will be live-streamed on YouTube (
   https://www.youtube.com/@SNUCKS2025)
   - Korean-English simultaneous interpretation will be provided for
   selected sessions
