We are pleased to announce that *《Peace and Unification Review (4.1)》* is
now available at our website:

*《Peace and Unification Review (PUR)》* is an academic journal published
biannually (January and July) by *the Soongsil Institute for Peace and
Unification (SSIPU) *at Soongsil University.

Launched in July 2022, PUR publishes general articles in the social
sciences and all academic fields related to North Korea, peace, and
unification. The journal aims to comprehensively include and advocate for
the values of various areas of theory and practice that contribute to
realizing peace and unification on the Korean Peninsula through convergence
and interdisciplinary research.

To this end, PUR carefully selects articles from various academic fields
covering critical research topics related to North Korea, peace, and
unification:
- Theoretical and empirical issues in various fields, such as North Korea’s
politics, economy, society, education, and culture
- Methodology in North Korean and unification studies
- Discourse contributing to peace and unification of the Korean Peninsula
- Practical and policy approaches to peace and unification issues through
interdisciplinary research
- Peace studies approaches to the processes of conflict and integration
- Religion and peace issues
- Research about the transition period
- Research on social changes after unification


*Submission Guidelines *Eligibility *
- Professional researchers and scholars in related fields.
- Graduate students focusing on North Korea, peace, and unification fields
(Master’s degree students can submit co-authored manuscripts with their
advisor(s)).

**How to Submit *
- To submit a manuscript, please email: ssipureview at ssu.ac.kr

**Manuscript Length*: Approximately 15 pages

**Submission Schedule*
- For the January issue (published on January 31 every year), the
submission deadline is December 15.
- For the July issue (published on July 31 every year), the deadline is
June 15.
