Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Berlin State Library, we invite scholars, advanced-level students, and specialists to submit proposals for presentations in the CrossAsia Talks series (https://blog.crossasia.org/crossasia-talks/?lang=en).
The topics should relate in the broadest sense to the printed or electronic holdings of the East Asia Department of the Berlin State Library. Presentations of research outcomes resulting from collaborations with the East Asia Department of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin are also welcome, as are discussions of innovative digital methods of using the collection and future challenges in this field.
As the subject specialist for Korean Studies, I also encourage proposals on new publications in Korean Studies, which content broadly engage with our collections.
The sessions will be held online. Where possible, the talks will be recorded and then made available in a CrossAsia Talks playlist on the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfdMbheFMoUIXEj7YiU2tDsiUpF1q5nez).
We cordially invite you to participate in our series by submitting your topic proposals. Through this platform, we also aim to provide an opportunity for younger scholars to present their research to a wider, potentially international, audience.
We look forward to receiving your lecture proposals at x-asia at sbb.spk-berlin.de<mailto:x-asia at sbb.spk-berlin.de>.
