I am working with the Exploratorium Museum in SF on a project in East Asia, and the museum is looking for a Science Writer who is fluent in both English and Korean.

According to the curators, there are a lot of types of people who could do well in this role, although they are not really looking for a traditional "curator". The core skills are writing clear, engaging text on complex topics (in Korean and English) and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Some kinds of people who might be a fit are:
- Social scientists with an interest in ecology and art
- Scientists with an interest in social science and art
- Science journalists
- Arts writers who study nature-based arts practice
- Urban planners
- Curriculum developers
- Script writers and producers for podcasts and documentaries
- Museum writers and exhibition developers (of course!)
The job is based in San Francisco, and it could be a great opportunity for someone who wants to explore roles outside of academia (it could be an alternative to a postdoc, for example). It is a fantastic workplace and also unionized: this role is in our bargaining unit, even though it is fixed term.
Thanks.
Best,Albert
