China in the Context of East Asia - with a focus on Korea”*

Here is the most basic information:
"Candidates are expected to represent the field of Sinology with a focus 
on modern history and China’s interconnectedness with East 
Asia—particularly with the states and cultures on the Korean Peninsula.

Research and teaching should center on historically informed 
examinations of East Asian dynamics, which have been significantly 
shaped by China. Methodologically, the position requires an empirical 
foundation and culturally sensitive analysis of source materials in the 
original languages (Chinese and Korean) regarding Sino-Korean exchange 
relations."
