Dear Korean Studies List Administrators,I would like to share the following message with the Korean Studies community.Thank you very much;--Dear Colleagues,I humbly share the recent publication of my tenth book book on Korea,"KOREAN DRAGONS  大韓龍 대한용 DaeHanYong" – Korea’s Dragon Traditions and their Yong-wang Monarchs –
This tome resulted from four decades of gathering information and photos on this gigantic subject, and took me three years of intensive part-time labor to finally complete.  It was intended to be "monumental" in our field; it is the only comprehensive work on this topic; there is nothing like it even in the Korean language.  There is not even any 'complete' book like this about Chinese dragons, in Chinese, that I can find; certainly nothing comparable in English.  The 21st-century Romanization was used, to align with the internet. It came to 976 pages -- 87,300 words -- 2550 color photos.  Too big to print at any affordable cost, and so it is an E-book (PDF files) only; I tried all likely Korean and global publishers, but none would agree to print it due to size, although they praised its significance.  E-book is better for such a sprawling work anyway, as it is "searchable".  I assure you, it has been carefully edited and all Sinographic & Hangeul characters verified, all references and quotes rechecked; all photos are attributed with location and date as far as was possible.  I labored to make it "readable and understandable" for beginners and the public, with no theory-jargon, and yet fully academic-quality; and no A.I. was employed.  It is appropriate for undergraduate students and higher-level researchers interested in Korean religions, spirituality, folklore, artworks, traditions, relations to Chinese culture and sacred-sites. It is divided into 3 Volumes, 300+ pages each.  The Table of Contents is:
