[KS] [Reminder] Call for Proposals: The 13th World Congress of Korean Studies

  The Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) is pleased to announce that the 13th World Congress of Korean Studies will be held at Ritsumeikan University (Kyoto, Japan) from September 5 (Saturday) to September 6 (Sunday), 2026.
  The theme of the Congress, “Bridging Regional Trajectories and Global Connections in Korean Studies,” seeks to bring together established and emerging scholars to present recent research, exchange academic perspectives, and promote sustained intellectual collaboration among Koreanists worldwide. Prospective participants are cordially invited to submit proposals. For further details, please refer to the attached materials.

  This plenary session will examine the current landscape and future trajectories of Korean Studies across diverse regional scholarly communities. Representatives from major international Korean Studies associations will offer reflections on institutional developments, emerging research agendas, and opportunities for strengthening global collaboration in the field.

   Paper Submission Deadline: by July 24, 2026
