Acta Koreana invites the international scholarly community to
participate in discussions, based on broad empirical and theoretical
cognition, and on diverse interdisciplinary and intercultural topics for
its 2nd issue to be published by Academia Koreana of Keimyung University
in the summer of 1999. Acta Koreana seeks to instigate new discourses
on thoughts, language, culture; book reviews and commentaries with
regard to all aspects of Korean issues. It is thus hoped to enhance a
better understanding of the increasingly crucial role of Korean studies
in the postmodern global arena.

art history. Contributors for literature are encouraged to submit any

with methodology, problems of attribution, dating, sources of style,
identification of iconography, in-depth analysis of historical, cultural
or religious context, or the significant contribution of Korean art in
the broad context of Asian Art. (inquiries: leeju at pdx.edu.)
