This is quite unfortunate scheduling, as the Royal Asiatic Society
Korea Branch (RAS) always meets on the 2nd (& 4th) Wednesday of each
month, and on June 9th at 7:30 Dr. Philippe Thiebault -- specialist in
Yulgok Yi I -- will present a paper explicating Yulgok's philosophy on
the opposite side of downtown Seoul. This was scheduled long ago.
You would think that the esteemed Dr. Horace H. Underwood might know
about this, seeing as how the esteemed Dr. Horace G. Underwood has
long been an officer of the RAS... :-)

Direct competition, for two equally interesting lectures. Not that
there's such a huge crowd of English-listening scholars to lure into
such events anyway... Would it not be possible for this Fulbright
Forum to be held on any OTHER night in June....?

Just noticin' and askin',
