Dear Friend:
We are pleased to share with you that William B Brown, ICAS Fellow and
senior international economist, U. S. Department of Commerce, authored
and contributed to ICAS the subject paper, "Commemorating An Unfinished
War" (ICAS Lecture No 2000-0622-WBB), in commemoration of the 50th
anniversary of the Korean War.
He argues that " ... it's also the time for the US to step up to the
plate as the principal proponent for a reunified, democratic, and market
oriented Korea. Of all the powers in the region, we [U. S.] have the
most to gain and least to loose from a unified Korea".
