Please forward to interested individuals!

You are cordially invited to...

A dinner and discussion on
An Assessment of the ROK National Assembly Elections
with
Professor Hyung Kook Kim
and Mr. Chul-Min Lee
Moderated by Donald P. Gregg

This meeting will provide a unique opportunity to gain an informed
perspective on the outcome of the elections from two seasoned observers of
the political scene in Korea: Prof. Hyung Kook Kim, Director of the Asian
Studies Program, American University; and Mr. Chul-Min Lee, New York Bureau
Chief, The Chosun Daily. In his role as moderator, Amb. Donald P. Gregg,
Chairman, The Korea Society, will bring additional expertise to what
promises to be a very interesting and timely discussion of developments
that are vital to future developments on the Korean peninsula.

The National Assembly Elections in South Korea scheduled for April 15 will
be a major benchmark in Korea's recent history. The outcome of the
elections is likely to have a significant impact on a wide range of
critical issues, including the Kim Dae-jung administration's ongoing
economic reforms and major foreign policy initiatives such as the Sunshine
Policy toward North Korea.
