Dear everyone,

I am engaged in a group project, funded by Korean Research Foundation,
finding out primary sources in regarding to the encounters of the Westerners
and Koreans from 1860 to 1910. The sources that I am looking for are Not
official diplomatic relations of Korea to the Western countries at this time,
but more or less unofficial (if I can use this term) relations with
westerners. The best example will be the activities of missionaries,
capitalists, journalists, and so on, who had visisted in Korea at that time
and left written records.
Probably the other materials that I would like to get will be about the
sources of Korean immigrants to European countries at that time.
Can anybody point me out where I need to go to find, and whom I need to
contact? At this stage, I am concentrating to find out materials in relating
to the British-Korean relations. And I and one of my co-workers will visit
Britain the first week of July.

I will look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Jin Hee Kim
