Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Korea's biggest brewery (now
Belgian?)
OB, Oriental Brewery, learn the trade from German brewery Loewenbrau?
Hence, German word "Gasthof" (pub) entered the Korean Language and was
shortened into "hof".

Could someone enlighten me regarding the etymology of the Korean word
"Hof" (as in English "bar / drinking place")?
Thanks.
