Dear Everyone,

My apologies for the late notice. The Chousenshi kenkyuukai's annual
conference will be held this coming weekend, October 21-22, at Waseda
University's Faculty of Literature (J. Bungakubu) campus.

This year's theme is "The Historical Space Called 'Ancient Korea.'" A
panel of four papers on Hwarang research, Silla archaeology, burial
practices, and religion in KoguryO will occur on Sunday, October 22.
The reception desk opens at 9:30 am.

On Saturday, October 21, the keynote lectures will feature Yi ChongwOn,
discussing the Cold War in the Korean Peninsula, and Fujimoto Yukio,
discussing the determination of publication dates for ChosOn-period
volumes. The reception desk opens at noon on this day.

Both sets of presentations will take place in Building 36, Room 382.

Waseda University's Faculty of Literature campus is a 20-minute walk on
Waseda-dori from Takadanobaba Station, on the Yamanouchi line. From
Waseda Station on the Touzai line it is a three-minute walk.
