This month Dr. Stephen J. Epstein of the Victoria University of Wellington
in New Zealand will present and discuss "Our Nation: A Korean Punk Rock
Community," a documentary he co-produced with Timothy R. Tangherlini of
UCLA. The documentary provides a close look at the rapidly evolving punk
rock scene in South Korea, focusing on "Drug," the club that formed the

helped to make Drug what it is.

Stephen Epstein (BA Harvard, PhD UC Berkeley, previous Fulbright Forum
presenter) has been teaching since 1994 at Victoria University, where he
serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Classics and on the Board
of Asian Studies. His interests include Greek and Latin literature; modern
Korean literature and society; translating Korean and Indonesian fiction;

We welcome to the November Fulbright Forum all Fulbrighters, senior
lecturers and junior researchers, as well as Board Members, Fulbright
alumni, Peace Corps alumni, Korean studies scholars, foreign graduate
