[KS] re: Korean Studies in Tokyo

Dear Colleagues,

The Chosenshi Kenkyukai's annual conference will be held October 20-21 at 
Gakushuin University in Tokyo.  On Saturday, doors open at 12:30, with two 
presentations (in Japanese) following from 1:00 pm.  Each presentation will 
focus on issues relating to the teaching of history, topics informed by 
recent debate in Japan over junior high school and high school history 
education.  A dinner reception will follow.

On Sunday will be four presentations (in Japanese) treating perceptions of 
territory and self awareness in the late Choson period.  Doors open at 9:30 
am and the panel begins at 10:00 am.
