Dear Colleagues,

The April meeting of the Chosenshi Kenkyukai will be held on Saturday, 
April 27.  This month's presentations, to be offered in Japanese, are below.


Research Presentation:
Okamoto Makiko.  "The Issue of Eliminating Special Monetary Allowances for 
Japanese Colonial Officials and the System of Rule in Chousen: The 
Government-General of Chousen Bureaucracy in the Late Years of Saitou's 
Tenure"

Book Review:
Kawa Kaoru.  "Senjika Chousen no minshuu to chouhei", by Higuchi Yuuichi 
(Souwasha, 2001).


The meeting will be held at the Kanda campus of Senshuu University, near 
the Kudanshita and Jinbochou stations.  It begins at 1:30 pm in Room 206.
