University of Michigan: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Korean Literature or Film 

The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Michigan invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship position in Korean Literature or Film. The successful candidate will receive a three-year appointment beginning in Fall, 2003, with a twelve-month stipend of 40K, benefits, some support for moving expenses, and a yearly research fund. The Fellow will be asked to teach four courses over three years: one each year, and the fourth either in the second or third year. The Fellow is expected to be in residence during the academic year and participate in the intellectual life of the Korean Studies Program as well as the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures. Recent PhDs and ABDs may apply. Send curriculum vitae, two writing samples (for ABDs, two dissertation chapters), two letters of reference, and a Statement (7 pages maximum) outlining the intellectual project, current status of research, and publication plans, to:  A.
