The President of AKSE, Alexandre Guillemoz, reminds AKSE members that AKSE
financially supports participation of a limited number of its members in the
Annual Meetings of the Association for Asian Studies. Those who want to
apply for support to attend the 2004 Meeting in San Diego (4-7 March,
2004)should send a brief proposal for the paper they want to read in a
session for individual papers or within a panel before the end of July to
