I am replying to the list, rather than to Eunjeong Ma individually, because
I would be quite interested in what others know about this.

The best way of finding out what is available is probably to write to the
WHO representative in Pyongyang and see if she/he is able to help. The ICRC
representative might also be a useful contact. Both groups were in regular
touch with hospitals and doctors.

Even for works in Korean, which I assume are the only ones that would be
available normally, it might be worth contacting the Foreign Languages
Publishing House or the Publications Import-Export Corporation in Pyongyang.
The Grand People's Study House might also help, especially if books are out
of print. They produced some beautifully photocopied copies of a cultural
magazine last year for a British scholar - at some cost, and after some
time, but nevertheless they did it. Books from the DPRK are also sometimes
obtainable through Japan.
