The 2004 Minsok Forum

¡°Sounds of Korea: Music and Language¡±
Friday May 7, 2004 at the Presidio¡¯s Golden Gate Club

The Minsok Forum takes place every year during Asian Pacific Heritage month in 
May. The Minsok Forum celebrates and promotes Korean cultural contributions to 
the community.  This year combines two special events: an academic forum on 
Korean music and language and a dinner and performance of traditional Korean 
music. Come join us for a delightful day and evening of educational outreach, 
delicious Korean food, and exhilarating music performance.

Forum:		         Sounds of Korea: Music and Language
Date and Time: 		Friday, May 7, 2004, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Place:			Golden Gate Club (Hawthorne Room), Presidio
Cost: 			Free and Open to the Public.

Topics include the Korean language, Korean literature, translation, music and 
the community, and contemporary Korean music composition.

Food:		Korean buffet
Performers:	Korean Music Trio: Semach¡¯i		
Cost:		$75.00 per person
				
Semach¡¯i is a group of talented sisters who have gained much renown in Korea 
for their captivating performance skills and charismatic stage presence.
