	LECTURER IN KOREAN LANGUAGE AND STUDIES 
	ACADEMIC LEVEL B 
	Salary Package: $59420 to 70106 pa, plus 17% super

	The Faculty of Asian Studies seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Korean Studies, in the Faculty s China / Korea Centre. The appointment commences in July 2005. 

	You will possess native or near-native speaker fluency in the Korean language and English; a PhD relevant to the Faculty s teaching and research missions; a research and publications record in Korean studies, and a commitment to publications and success in competitive research grant schemes. 

	You will be able to demonstrate: ability and willingness to take primary responsibility for the Faculty s Korean Language program; ability and willingness to develop and teach Korea-related courses in an area of your disciplinary speciality; and ability and willingness to supervise students at Honours, Postgraduate and Research degree levels.
