The Academy of Korean Studies is pleased to announced its Grants for the translation of Korean Studies Works for 2005 




The Academy of Korean Studies is supporting translation of Korean Studies books to promote the growth of educational and academic activities related to Korean Studies overseas. Those concerned with this area of Korean Studies at home and abroad are encouraged to participate in the project. 




1. Project Categories 

Korean Studies books and writings in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences 

2. Language 

Korean to English 

3. Qualification of Applicants 

- Korean Studies scholars working in the area of Humanities and Social    Sciences who have experience in research projects, academic activities, or translation works. 

 - Original authors of the target book are encouraged to participate in the      project. 

4. Application Period and Announcement of Selection 

1) Deadline for Submission :  12:00 am December 23(Fri), 2005 (Korea Local Time)       

2) Announcement of Selection  

Those selected will be notified individually on December 27, 2005.
