Korean Christianity in Multicultural Australia:

localising or globalising Koreans?

Gil-Soo Han, School of Rural Health, Monash University, Australia

There used to be a saying, "Wherever the Chinese went overseas they started
restaurants, the Japanese electronic goods stores and the Koreans churches."
In the last couple of decades, the Koreans, being truly entrepreneurial,
have established restaurants and electronic goods stores, but have also
established churches. The long-term success of their entrepreneurial
pursuit, however, depends upon the ability of Koreans to globalize
themselves.
