Shannon McCune in his book

Intelligence on the Economic Collapse of Japan in 1945. New York:
University Press of America, 1989

writes that after the Japanese takeover of Indonesia, Indonesian rice
replaced Korean rice inported into Japan. If this is accurate, what
happened to the Korean rice. Was it sent to Manchuria and China to feed
the Kwangtung Army?
Does anyone know of sources for this question?

Thank you,
