[KS] Pre-colonial Regionalism

Please excuse the request, but I am doing some research on Korean migration and would like to know where to look for information regarding the ways Koreans from the southern provinces would have been received by those in Seoul in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
