Dear Koreanists,
Just a quick note to let you know about our center's opening. We would
be honored if you could attend our open house this Wednesday December
12th on the occasion of the establishment of Seoul National
University's International Center for Korean Studies. Come at 4 pm to
the 4th floor lobby in the Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies for
light refreshments and champagne and the chance to mingle with other
members of the Korean studies community here.
This is also a good opportunity to become acquainted with the center's
staff and our programs, such as the Kyujanggak Fellowship and our
travel grants. Also, just a block away, the Seoul National University
Museum is currently hosting a wonderful exhibition of Chinese Buddhist
Statues dating from 5th century, so consider arriving a little early
to visit the Buddhist collection and the Kyujanggak Royal Archives
collection in the downstairs exhibition hall.
Date: Wednesday December 12, 4 pm
Place: Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies, 4th floor
Seoul National University
Contact: Annie Koh at icks at snu.ac.kr or 02-880-2586 for more information.
We hope to see you there!
