Reminder: ASCJ 2007 June 23 - 24

All scholars of Asia are invited to attend the eleventh annual meeting
of the Asian Studies Conference Japan (ASCJ), which will be held at the
Shirogane campus of Meiji Gakuin University (Tokyo) on June 23-24, 2007.
ASCJ is a regional conference of the Association for Asian Studies.

Program details and other information are posted on the ASCJ website:

The program consists of 39 sessions (panels, roundtables, and individual
papers) that address a broad range of themes relating to Asian studies,
many of which deal with Korea. All sessions are conducted in English.

Those expecting to attend ASCJ are asked to complete the on-line
registration form available on the ASCJ website
(http://www.meijigakuin.ac.jp/~ascj/register/register-general.html).
For those who register by Friday, June 10, the conference fee is 4,000
yen (3,000 yen for graduate students); it may be paid by credit card or
by domestic bank transfer. The reception fee is 3,000 yen (2,000 yen
for graduate students). After June 10, registration must be done at the
conference at the onsite rate of 5,000 yen (4,000 for graduate students).

Registration will open at 9:15 a.m. on June 23. The conference will
begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.
