 Dr. Park Jae-Kyu is President of the University of North Korean Studies and Presidential
Advisor for Korean Unification Affairs. He served as Minister of Unification
from 1999 to 2001 and as chairman of the organizing committee for the first
inter-Korean summit in 2000. Dr. Park has been widely published on the topic of
North Korea.
His monographs include North Korea's Foreign Policy (1977), The
Politics of North Korea (1984), The Foreign Relations of North Korea, A
New Perspective (1987), The New Diplomacy of North Korea and its
Survival Strategy (1997), and New Readings on North Korea (ed.)
(2004).
