invites applications for two tenure-track, foreign faculty positions, one in the area of the history of the Chos?n Dynasty, and the other in the area of Korean Religion.

In response to SNU’s recent efforts to encourage diversity in its faculty, students, and curriculum, the Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies seeks foreign scholars of Korean studies who will contribute to SNU’s leading role in Korean studies across the world. Requirements
 

- Each candidate must have a Ph. D. degree in the related field.
 

- Each candidate will be expected to lecture in English. Excellent competence in oral and written English is essential for each position.
 

- A foreign professor is required to fulfill the same academic requirements as applied to a Korean professor to be tenured. The teaching load can be reduced by performing other academic works assigned by the director of the Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies.
