The ANU is hiring a tenure track faculty member in any area of Asian Studies. Koreanists are very welcome. Further details and the url are below:
The Faculty of Asian Studies is seeking to appoint a lecturer (level B) in the humanities, specializing in the history of people, society, culture or thought in Asia. Applicants should have a PhD, and native or near-native fluency in an Asian or Pacific language. While expertise in Asian history and historiography is preferred, knowledge of other fields, such as anthropology, sociology, linguistics, religions, and creative or performing arts, would also be advantageous. Extensive experience in using primary sources in their original form, for example through fieldwork or textual analysis, is highly desirable. 

The successful candidate would have a leading role in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level and, in particular, the interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate core courses in Asian studies. Applicants will demonstrate the ability and willingness to supervise students at Honours and Postgraduate levels. Applicants will be able to demonstrate a capacity to contribute to research excellence in their field of expertise.
