[KS] militarization and cultural impact on Korea

It depends on your theoretical approach (poststructuralist?) but I would recommend to examine the Minjung movement and how they have confronted and reacted on the enormous cultural impact of the US (Americanization) since the division of the peninsula, how it has changed Korean people's mindset and which role the concept of modernity and post-colonialism (Korean people's colonized consciousness) played. Look for example for Namhee Lee, Choi Cuhungmoo or with a different approach Shin Gi-Wook.

Good luck, Tobias
