Among old books on Korea there are 2 by the same person:
Koreans at Home: The Impressions of a Scotswoman by Constance J. D. Tayler. Cassell. 1904
Korea, by Constance J. D. Coulson, with twelve full-page illustrations in colour by the author and E. H. Fitchew. Peeps at many lands. Adam & Charles Black. 1910.
Some of the pictures (those by the author) are the same in both.
All I can find out about the author is as follows:

Constance Jane Dorothy Tayler was born on 18 February 1868 in 12 Chester Square, Pimlico, London, England, and died 18 March 1948 in Maltravers Street, Arundel, Sussex, England. She was the daughter of William James Tayler (born 8 July 1809 in Banff, Scotland) and Georgina Lucy Duff. She married Hubert Arthur Blenkinsopp Coulson on 6 April 1904 at London, England. She died on 18 March 1948 at age 80 at Arundel, Sussex, England.

I am not sure why having had a father born in Scotland allowed her to term herself "a Scotswoman" but my real question is whether anyone knows why and in what capacity she made "several visits" to Korea, presumably prior to her marriage since the first book was published in 1904? It is not a very important question, the books are not very important books, although they both contain illustrations from the period before 1910, always interesting. It would be good to know more about Edward H. Fitchew and his connection to Korea, too.
