> Members might like to know that yesterday a symposium and celebration were held in Seoul to mark the publication of the last volumes of the poems of Ko Un's Maninbo (Ten Thousand Lives) series, 25 years after it started. Some 4000 poems in all.
>
> Librarians might need to know that instead of simply completing volumes 27-30, Ko Un has revised all the poems published since Volume 1 appeared in 1986 and Changjak gwa pipyong publishers have issued the complete (revised) work in a new format, 11 thick hardback volumes of poems and a companion volume with an index and critical essays etc, as a boxed set priced at 350,000 Won. Librarians should also be aware that a 38-volume set of Ko Un's collected works was published in Seoul by Gimm Young publishers in 2002.
