The Journal of Korean Studies (JKS) is pleased to announce that Volume 15 No. 1 (Fall 2010) is now available through the Rowman and Littlefield Publishers.   

 

Articles include: “Decline of a Confucian Mecca: Development of Rice Farming and Regional Development in Chosŏn Korea” by Sung Woo Kim, “Huddling under the Imperial Umbrella: A Korean Approach to Ming China in the Early 1500s”  by Seung B. Kye, “The Paradox of Postcolonial Korean Nationalism: State-Sponsored Cultural Policy in South Korea, 1965–Present” by Sang Mi Park, and “Separate but Engaged: Human Subjectivity in the Poetry of Tasan Chŏng Yagyong” by Deberniere Torrey.

 

NEW FOR 2011!  Starting this spring, The Journal of Korean Studies will become a semi-annual publication.  The spring issue will be a regular issue hosting various topics regarding Korea.  In the fall we will publish a thematic issue. JKS editors and the editorial board welcome submissions for publication year round.  Deadline for the 2012 spring issue of the JKS is July 31, 2011.
